Microsoft-Yahoo! Update From Platform & Services Division President, Kevin Johnson @ SEARCH JOURNAL

Kevin Johnson, president of Microsoft's platform and services division, sent round an email on Friday to provide Microsoft employees of the Platforms & Services Division with an update on the company's Feb. 1 proposal to combine with Yahoo! We bring you here the text in full.

Wired says that Johnson's comments "seem aimed at responding to Yahoo's decision to adopt new severance plans earlier in the week. All the company's full-time workers who lose their jobs without 'cause' or quit 'for good reason' after a Microsoft takeover would continue to receive salary and health insurance for four to 24 months, plus other benefits."
