Gates: Yahoo! "Should Take a Hard Look" at the Microsoft Offer @ SEARCH JOURNAL

'We sent them a letter and said we think that's a fair offer,' Bill Gates has been telling an Associated Press reporter, referring of course to the February 1 proposal Microsoft made to the Yahoo! board of directors to acquire the company for $44.6BN. Gates made the comments during a conference call to announce free access to Microsoft developer tools for students.

Vista is not worth the upgrade yet. I bought a new system with Vista installed and it had issues with video and sound drivers. I managed to find an video driver that worked after trying 2. The audio drivers don't work at all. I tried to use the onboard sound as well as a PCI card with no luck. I tried 3 drivers from Microsoft, 2 for the PCI card and 2 from the computer manufacturer all with no luck. I hope my copy of XP gets here just as fast so I can actually use it.
