Somebody in Schleswig-Holstein Doesn't Like GoogleClick

Herr Weichert is particularly concerned about Google analyzing people's search behavior

The data protection commissioner of Schleswig-Holstein Thilo Weichert has written to EC antitrust chief Neelie Kroes saying the proposed Google-DoubleClick merger would mean the violation of fundamental provisions of the European Data Protection Directive and "lead to massive violation of data privacy rights" of European consumers.

Herr Weichert is particularly concerned about Google analyzing people's search behavior.

Heise Online has a copy of the letter, written in German, on its site and says that the European Consumers' Organization has also complained to the EC about "GoogleClick" monopolizing online advertising.
