Mobile Commerce News Weekly – Week of August 17, 2014

The Mobile Commerce News Weekly is an online newsletter made up of the most interesting news, articles and links related to mobile commerce and marketing, mobile payments, mobile money, e-wallets, mobile banking, mobile ads and mobile security that I run across each week.  I am specifically targeting market size and market trend information.

Shipments of wearable devices are expected to hit 135 million in 2018, according to forecasts from CCS Insight. By comparison, last year 9.7 million wearables were shipped, a number which is expected to grow 129 percent in 2014, to 22 million.  Read Original Content

Ukash, the online cash payment provider, has announced it is partnering with ZapZap in order to provide smartphone consumers with a mobile wallet that will allow them to manage and spend their vouchers from Ukash even if they aren’t sitting in front of a PC.  Read Original Content
