A comprehensive showcase of technologies that keep pace with the increasingly mobile and connected business and consumer landscapes

Singapore, May 28, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - An extensive line-up of product launches and showcases will elevate the excitement quotient at CommunicAsia2014 and EnterpriseIT2014, Asia's most established ICT industry event. The shows are set to return to Marina Bay Sands Singapore from 17 - 20 June 2014 with a strong emphasis on mobility and connectivity, featuring cutting-edge technology updates and latest products from leading global industry players and thought-leaders.

CommunicAsia2014 and EnterpriseIT2014 together will welcome a mix of both new and returning exhibitors, as well as an illustrious list of C-level executives and other industry experts to present a comprehensive range of solutions that enable government bodies, companies, people and machines to engage and communicate, in today's connected environment.

"CommunicAsia2014 and EnterpriseIT2014 have consistently hosted exhibitors from various parts of the world throughout the years; and many companies continue to leverage the shows as the ideal platform to launch their cutting-edge products and as a forum to network and discuss business partnerships," said Ms. Agnes Leung, Assistant Project Director (Communications Events) of show organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services at a media briefing today.

Preferred Platform for Product Launches and Showcases

The CommunicAsia2014 and EnterpriseIT2014 media briefing kicked off with Sennheiser Electronic Asia and Panasonic Toughbook giving live demonstrations of their game-changing products that will serve as key enablers for businesses in an increasingly mobile world.

Sennheiser Asia joins CommunicAsia2014 as an exhibitor for the first time this year, with the introduction of their new line of solutions for the Audio for Business segment. Some of these systems include the Team Connect, an all-in-one audio solution for meeting rooms, incorporating the rising trend of "Bring Your Own Device" with excellent audio intelligibility, into the boardrooms and business meeting spaces.

"The rationale for our inaugural participation at CommunicAsia2014 this year was clear: This is one of the best platforms we can identify in the region that attracts the target audience we want to reach out to. We believe that our presence in this exhibition will grow our business opportunities in the Enterprise industry, particularly in the Audio for Business segment. We are looking forward to a successful show this year," said Mr. Ng Chee Soon, President and Managing Director of Sennheiser Asia.

Panasonic Toughbook gave an exclusive preview and demonstration of the Panasonic TOUGHPAD UT-MB5, the world's first 4K 20" tablet. The tablet operates on Windows 8.1 and will be soft launched for the first time in Asia at CommunicAsia2014.

"CommunicAsia2014 is the obvious choice of a launch platform in Asia for our latest TOUGHPAD. Over the past two years that we have been participating, this excellent platform allows us to meet and network with many customers and partners from across the region," says Mr. Jun Matsuo, Director of Panasonic Systems Communication Asia Pacific. "We are excited and look forward to showcasing our latest range of products at the show."

Joining Sennheiser Electronic Asia and Panasonic Toughbook at CommunicAsia2014 to showcase major technology breakthroughs and launch their latest innovations in mobility and connectivity include:

-- BioSenze Life Science / Shopster: To be launched for the first time worldwide, BioSenze's self-administered diagnostic kits provide accurate readings for common health tests utilising the patient's blood, urine or saliva samples. These metered readings are transmitted to cloud servers via the patient's smartphone and the patient's health dashboard is reflected in the mobile application that is available on multiple platforms. This reduces the cost and time required for conducting these diagnostic tests and at the same time, improves the efficiency in doctor-patient consultation

-- Huawei: The Huawei Ascend P7 Android smartphone will be launched, for the first time in Asia, at CommunicAsia2014. The smartphone, a combination of technology, design and performance, features an 8 MP camera and is set to open doors to a more connected world

-- NEC: NEC is proud to launch the SmartDECT handset G966 for the first time in Asia. The sophisticated handset provides enterprise-grade capabilities and proven DECT voice quality to contribute to the effectiveness of staff in various industries

New Additions to CommunicAsia2014 and EnterpriseIT2014

The trade events continue to attract a healthy number of new exhibitors each year to the show, and this year is no different. Some of the world's leading companies in their respective areas of expertise have joined CommunicAsia2014 and Enterprise2014 for the first time, such as Aglient Technologies, BIMAR, Ericsson, KTsat, NEC, Sennheiser, Siemens and Toshiba.

Although not a newcomer, stalwart exhibitor Huawei will be making its presence felt in a big way this year by taking up exhibition and hospitality suite space on all three levels of CommunicAsia2014 and Enterprise2014 to showcase their complete suite of technologies, solutions and products.

In order to address the multitude of innovative technologies, the challenges and opportunities in building truly connect cities, CommunicAsia2014 and EnterpriseIT2014 introduced three new thematic clusters - NXT Cities, NXT Enterprises and NXT Connected Services.

The Internet of Things is not only adding billions of sensors and billions of terabytes to the Internet. It is also forcing a fundamental change in the way we envision Information Technology. For the first time, more data is being created by devices at the edge of the Internet rather than from centralized systems. What does this mean for today's IT professional? In this Power Panel at @ThingsExpo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed this very serious issue of profound change in the industry.
Discussions about cloud computing are evolving into discussions about enterprise IT in general. As enterprises increasingly migrate toward their own unique clouds, new issues such as the use of containers and microservices emerge to keep things interesting. In this Power Panel at 16th Cloud Expo, moderated by Conference Chair Roger Strukhoff, panelists addressed the state of cloud computing today, and what enterprise IT professionals need to know about how the latest topics and trends affect their organization.
It is one thing to build single industrial IoT applications, but what will it take to build the Smart Cities and truly society-changing applications of the future? The technology won’t be the problem, it will be the number of parties that need to work together and be aligned in their motivation to succeed. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jason Mondanaro, Director, Product Management at Metanga, discussed how you can plan to cooperate, partner, and form lasting all-star teams to change the world and it starts with business models and monetization strategies.
