SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 03/18/14 -- Beamz Interactive, Inc. (OTCQB: BZIC), a leading developer of state-of-the-art interactive music products, today announced the release of its Beamz music entertainment application, which is now in beta, for Google's Android operating system. This new interactive music app is a revolutionary way for music enthusiasts, musicians and non-musicians to play, create and share music using their smartphones and tablets run on the Android platform.
The Beamz app for Android devices is similar to the app currently offered for iOS devices and Mac computers in the Apple App Store. The future Beamz app for Android will be a free download and include 15 interactive songs with a broad spectrum of instruments from a range of different music genres. Additional interactive songs, including song bundles, will also be available for in-app purchase.
"This free app provides our company a great means to introduce consumers to our new innovative interactive music format," said Charlie Mollo, CEO of Beamz Interactive. "With more than 1 billion devices worldwide using the Android platform, it's a significant audience to expand our reach -- especially considering there are a relatively limited number of dedicated music apps currently available for the Android platform."
The free Beamz app for Android utilizes Beamz Interactive's proprietary technology, which enables users to remix of some of today's most popular songs, then instantly record and share their songs with friends. Each Beamz interactive song is setup with a unique background rhythm track and includes up to 12 different instruments, vocals and sound effects (including guitars, bass, drums, etc.) for users to add into the playback of their interactive songs.
"The Beamz app is like Apple's Garage Band in reverse without the music production work," said Al Ingallinera, Vice President of Product Management for Beamz Interactive. "Our songs are setup with a pre-made background rhythm track paired with harmonious instruments and sound effects ready for anyone to play. Given the unique position of Beamz in the music application space and the expanding diversity of devices using the Android platform, we will be pursuing opportunities for pre-loading our application and licensing our interactive music content to device manufacturers."
The Beamz app for Android may also be used with the Beamz by Flo and Beamz interactive music laser controllers with selected smartphones and tablets via a Bluetooth connection. The company plans to launch the Beamz app for Android devices upon successful completion of the beta test program.
