Boston’s Only Product Management Group Finds Their Magic Fit

The Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) will host a gala event to introduce its 2014 sponsors and schedule of events at the Boston Museum of Science on Jan. 16. The evening, hosted by Bob Levy, includes networking; a sit-down dinner; and a keynote presentation by Jeffrey Bussgang, general partner at Flybridge Partners and senior lecturer at Harvard Business School.

The BPMA collaborates with local professionals, companies, other associations and universities to produce professional development events in the Greater Boston Area. In 2013, the BPMA teamed up with MIT and Harvard Business School to offer student discounts, job interview training, and access to professional mentors.

2014 will continue that tradition, with events focused on innovation, and a list of sponsors that includes MIT and Google, along with ongoing relationships with speakers from Harvard Business School and MIT, and local companies.

Paul Ressler, the Director of Program Planning, spoke about the upcoming schedule.

“Our 2014 theme is Innovation and we have a lineup of events that we believe will provide product managers with practical ideas, knowledge and skills.”

Keynote speaker Jeffrey Bussgang will share the implications of customer discovery and lean start-up, and how they’re changing the world product management.

Incoming BPMA president Mak Joshi of Schneider Electric is looking forward to the event.

“We look forward to celebrating the BPMA’s success and our local product professionals, and to sharing a vision of continued advancement of these initiatives over the coming year.”
