Latest musiXmatch iOS and Android Update Provides Up to Five Times Speed Increases for Music Recognition

BOLOGNA, Italy, May 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- musiXmatch, a leading Music Player with the world's largest Lyrics catalog, has teamed with Gracenote to improve the speed and performance of its popular mobile App. The latest release of musiXmatch, now available in the App Store and Google Play, features up to five times the speed and performance of previous releases, allowing users to quickly identify songs playing from the radio, TV or in the background, and instantly access lyrics and purchase tracks via its new MusicID feature.

Gracenote made improvements at every step in the music recognition process, from the way audio fingerprints are produced to how musiXmatch listens and identifies songs, including its interaction with the Gracenote database. The result of this collaboration is an App that can now identify songs within just a few seconds, and many popular tracks almost instantaneously. After songs are identified, musiXmatch delivers Cover Art from Gracenote and lyrics synced in time to the music.
