The Leading Social Media Platform For Kids Unveils New Team at 2013 NAB Show

LAFAYETTE, Calif., April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Everloop.com, the leading safe and fun social media platform for kids under 13, appoints Jim DeRose as Director, Acting President and COO. This announcement follows DeRose's appointment to the Everloop advisory board in January 2013.

DeRose's distinguished track record in senior executive positions, including President and CEO of Global VR, President of video game maker Acclaim Entertainment, President and CEO of PDI/Dreamworks, President of Mattel USA, and President of Hanes Division of Sara Lee Corporation, lends itself to Everloop.com's efforts to strengthen its executive team as it moves forward in 2013 as an integral resource for both consumers and businesses.

"Jim DeRose is a proven leader with the ability to transform companies with both top line growth and bottom line performance," says Hilary DeCesare, CEO and Co-Founder of Everloop.com. "In 90 days of leadership and board participation, he has already made great strides, overseeing performance and bringing new expert talent to our advisory board."

Among his first efforts as Director, Acting President and COO, DeRose has appointed Brian Klais, CEO of Pure Oxygen, as Executive SEO and Mobile Advisor, and Richard Chino, an Angel Investor and Board Member of C2FO.com, as Executive SEM Advisor. In their respective positions, both Klais and Chino will support Everloop.com's efforts to increase visibility on the web.

Brian Klais is Founder and CEO of Pure Oxygen, a mobile consultancy and technology lab. As an award-winning digital entrepreneur, Brian brings a wealth of search, mobile and online marketing expertise to the Everloop team. His proven track record as a co-founder of Covario, coupled with his hands-on experience optimizing desktop and mobile platforms will help Everloop continue to engage with kids in an effective and responsible way.

"It's not just the number of connected devices in homes that continues to increase - it's that they are increasingly used for social connectivity, especially among Millennials," explains Klais.  "Brands like Everloop have unique opportunities to define the future of mobile-social media for that generation. As a mobile marketing practitioner, and as a father to pre-Facebook aged daughters myself, I look forward to joining the Everloop team and advancing the mission."

Richard Chino is an Angel Investor focused on seed round investments with Internet based startups.  He is a member of the Pasadena Angels, a founding board member of the Claremont McKenna College's Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a Board Member of C2FO.com.  Prior to Angel investing, Chino served as CRO at Smarter.com, and spent 7 years with Overture/Yahoo Search Marketing.

"SEM is a powerful tool, and has been instrumental in helping both parents and tweens find Everloop as their safe social media solution," stated Chino.  "I'm honored to join the advisory board and pleased to have the opportunity to introduce consumers to this essential resource."

The new team was unveiled during the 2013 NAB Show, where Everloop.com's Hilary DeCesare presented as a NAB Show SPROCKIT Participant and announced Jim DeRose's appointment during her April 9th speaking engagement.

Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...
The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...

Enterprises have taken advantage of IoT to achieve important revenue and cost advantages. What is less apparent is how incumbent enterprises operating at scale have, following success with IoT, built analytic, operations management and software development capabilities - ranging from autonomous vehicles to manageable robotics installations. They have embraced these capabilities as if they were Silicon Valley startups.
As IoT continues to increase momentum, so does the associated risk. Secure Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) is ranked as one of the most important technology areas of IoT. Driving this trend is the realization that secure support for IoT devices provides companies the ability to deliver high-quality, reliable, secure offerings faster, create new revenue streams, and reduce support costs, all while building a competitive advantage in their markets.
