Kabam, the leader in the western world for free-to-play core games, today announced Kingdoms of Camelot, one of the top 10 strategy franchises of all time, has surpassed $200 million in gross revenue. This milestone comes on the heels of Kabam’s hotly-anticipated launch of The Hobbit: Armies of the Third Age, now available for Facebook and web browsers.
- Kingdoms of Camelot surpassed the $100 million revenue milestone in 2012, less than three years after launching on Facebook, becoming one of the top 10 grossing strategy games of all-time (#7).
- The franchise took less than an additional year to surpass the $200 million mark.
- The mobile version of the franchise, Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, was the top-grossing game on iOS for 2012.
Kingdoms of Camelot pits players in the middle of the Arthurian legend, joining one of three powerful Factions and teaming up with the Wizard Merlin to build their Kingdoms an earn King Arthur’s favor and the chance to rule Camelot.
