TOYOTA Racing Recruiting Special Team Members for Le Mans 2013, Pursuing "Hybrid Effect" between Team and Its Fans! Finalists from around World Will Be Interviewed Online and Streamed Live on Internet on March 18

TOKYO, March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Having joined the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2012 with its hybrid-powered prototype racers, TOYOTA Racing created two new positions for enthusiastic candidates with the passion and power to encourage the team to win the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

Personalities of candidates for the "COOL" category must possess a logical mindset and a profound knowledge of the latest hybrid technologies.

Candidates for the "HOT" category should be passionate, nonverbal communicators, with a deep, encouraging affection towards team members.

Over 100 enthusiastic applications were received following the recruitment drive on social media. Applications came not only from France, the home of Le Mans, but also from 30 countries around the world including the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Asian countries.

TOYOTA Racing driver Anthony Davidson said: "We are really happy and encouraged by so much support for our team!"

Four candidates for both "COOL" and "HOT" categories have been selected as finalists who will make their presentations to the team staff including the drivers on March 18 on a special Google+ Hangouts.

Their presentations will be streamed live online. Two successful candidates will be invited to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in June, and will report on the TOYOTA Racing team on location!
