MapR Technologies, Inc., the Hadoop technology leader, and MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) and mobile software, today announced at the O’Reilly Strata Conference that the two companies have signed a global technology alliance agreement. Additionally, both companies have tested and certified interoperability between the MicroStrategy platform’s latest release, MicroStrategy 9.3, and the MapR Distribution for Apache Hadoop.
The MapR Distribution brings dependability, speed, and ease-of-use to Hadoop. MicroStrategy 9.3, in combination with MapR’s high-availability, enterprise-grade analytic processing platform, enables customers to unlock insights in Big Data that were previously inaccessible due to prohibitive costs, by making corporate information transparent and more useable for analyses and decision-making. MicroStrategy’s highly-scalable, high-performance platform delivers mobile apps, predictive analytics, visual data discovery, and enhanced dashboards that make it easy for organizations to easily extract and deliver actionable insights to business people.
“The growing number of organizations using Hadoop will find this integration an attractive way to easily unlock the value previously hidden deep in data in order to improve decision-making and gain a competitive edge,” said John Schroeder, CEO and co-founder, MapR Technologies. “The combination of MicroStrategy’s BI platform, which provides a range of enterprise reporting, predictive analytics and management dashboards, coupled with the performance, dependability and strength of the MapR Distribution, changes the fundamentals of Big Data analysis.”
“Leading organizations can turn their Big Data stored in Hadoop into an even bigger competitive advantage with integrated, highly optimized solutions from MicroStrategy and MapR,” said MicroStrategy President Paul Zolfaghari. “MicroStrategy’s global customers have some of the biggest data stores and count on us to analyze their enterprise data in powerful, innovative ways. Together, with leading technology vendors including MapR, MicroStrategy has simplified the mystery of uncovering value from Hadoop data, and offers a proven, scalable business analytics solution for businesses to win in the market and outsmart their competitors.”
