Icreon Tech, a global IT services provider, today announced top trends in enterprise mobility driving real business productivity. Enterprise mobility goes beyond everyday consumer apps on the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. These line-of-business mobile apps are integrated into pre-existing enterprise infrastructures and will become essential to mobile workforces globally in 2013.
“Leaping into mobile is a serious decision. It is one more asset that has to be managed as part of your business strategy,” said Himanshu Sareen, CEO of Icreon Tech. “The demand for enterprise mobility solutions is skyrocketing, and knowing that the trend towards mobility will only accelerate over the near future, the question is – where do you start?”
While enterprise apps serve little use to everyday consumers, they are invaluable to the unique workflows of enterprise settings. From international corporations to small businesses, enterprise mobility brings portability to digital business processes, providing employees in the field constant access to data.
Mobile salesforces and employees in-the-field are expanding beyond the realm of generic PDF readers and email apps on their smartphones and tablets. New trends in enterprise mobililty include mission critical processes such as:
- Digital signature capturing
- Payment processing
- Inventory management
- Realtime business analytics
“We’re seeing a big increase in important business functions being completely mobilized in order to improve business productivity in various industries – these devices have gone from tinkertoys to thoroughbred tools in the office place,” said Devanshi Garg, COO of Icreon Tech. “In fact, half of all mobile applications developed by Icreon last year were never released on an App Store – they were developed internally for highly specialized enterprise environments.”
The combination of a growing familiarity with mobile in the workplace and better hardware and software solutions has created new opportunities for enterprises to complete businesses processes; integrate with legacy databases and pre-existing IT infrastructures; and revolutionize the way work gets done.
