Millennium Technology Value Partners, a pioneer and leader in secondary liquidity and growth capital solutions, today announced that Dan Borok has been promoted to Partner from Principal.
Dan has been with Millennium since 2005 and has led the firm's investments in Tremor Video, MarkLogic, SugarCRM, Yodle, Watchdox and Janrain (where he serves on the Board of Directors). Dan has also been active in managing Millennium's investments in Beachmint, DataPipe, eHarmony, Facebook and LiveOps.
“Dan Borok has been a key part of the Millennium team for the last eight years,” said Sam Schwerin, Managing Partner of Millennium. “He has a strong ability to identify outstanding companies early and to work hand-in-hand with them as they scale. We are looking forward to even greater contributions from Dan as a Partner with Millennium's growing franchise.”
Managing Partner Dan Burstein added, “We are particularly pleased to be able to promote professionals from within the firm who have been trained in our unique style and approach to ‘reinventing venture capital.’ Dan Borok’s promotion marks the third Millennium promotion in the last year. Our strong team cohesion is reflected in our results, including record deployment of capital as well as record distributions to our investors over the last two years.”
Prior to joining Millennium, Dan was one of Google's early employees in its New York City office. He also held positions in the media division at DoubleClick and in the digital advertising group at J. Walter Thompson in New York. Dan received a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School with Dean's List honors.
