LONDON AND BEIJING, Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- App Annie, the industry leader in app store analytics and market intelligence, today announced another milestone in the company's momentum with the opening of a new office in London. The London office builds on App Annie's local presence in Beijing, San Francisco, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and will serve as a hub for operations across Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA). App Annie also announced today the appointment of mobile gaming industry veteran Olivier Bernard as Vice President, EMEA. Bernard will lead App Annie's sales and operations in the region.
According to App Annie's recent App Annie Index™ the United Kingdom ranked as one of the top four countries leading downloads and revenue in the iOS and Google Play stores. As the market for mobile apps continues to accelerate throughout EMEA, App Annie will be on the ground to provide trusted data and market intelligence to help inform the region's investor, publisher, mobile and gaming industries.
Bernard brings with him more than a decade of international sales, business development and operational management experience in the mobile and gaming industries. Prior to App Annie, Bernard served as VP and General Manager of International at Glu mobile, a global publisher of mobile games. At Glu, he was responsible for managing the company's client base and overseeing all operations in EMEA, Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Latin America (LATAM) regions. Previous to Glu, Bernard held senior business positions within the gaming industry at Vodafone Group and Atari. He holds an M.A. in History and Political Science from University Lyon 2 in Lyon, France.
"I'm looking forward to continuing to increase App Annie's local presence across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and forging new business relationships throughout the region," said Bernard. "With an already strong presence in the U.S. and Asian markets, EMEA is the next natural market for App Annie to tap into and I'm excited to serve our clients in the region with the local support they need to be successful."
