Warren, MI, January 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Zycon, a global industrial manufacturers directory, has officially announced the availability of a 'Pay-Per-Click' (PPC) option as part their marketing program line-up. Zycon has offered annual programs with guaranteed actions for many years and now with the introduction of this PPC program as an additional marketing choice, Zycon will be the first industrial directory and manufacturing search engine to offer both annual programs with guaranteed actions and PPC programs.
"We have always had a tradition of providing a great value for our advertisers," said Ron Bargman, President of Zycon, "and this program allows companies to get quality exposure, control their monthly ad budget, and get a valuable direct link from an authoritative source without committing to an annual program."
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) has been an online advertising option for businesses for sometime now and offers two primary benefits over traditional media formats, such as print or TV. Users of PPC marketing programs are only charged when a potential customer clicks on an ad or link that redirects to their site. As a result, the company is paying for actual results instead of perceived results. Also, the potential customer is typically looking for that item and may be planning an immediate purchase versus traditional advertising that broadcasts the company name and products or services to a large audience hoping that a percentage within that audience will be influenced to purchase.
Zycon experimented with PPC in the early 2000's but found that at that time most industrial companies preferred the more conventional annual programs, and as a result, Zycon decided not to actively market it. However in today's marketplace, PPC has become an accepted and often preferred means of managing the cost of advertising. Bargman adds that "the advantage Zycon's PPC program offers over PPC programs in Google, Yahoo, and Bing is that the purchaser has more information before deciding what to click on than in the search engines." The typical search engine PPC ad allows a maximum of about 70 characters (not counting the title), whereas Zycon allows 350 characters. Thus, a click within the Zycon PPC system should result in a better return-on-investment (ROI) than most PPC programs.
Zycon, like other industrial and manufacturing directories, has a variety of advertising options ranging from a free simple listing that only contains a company's name and contact info, up to a more detailed display ad program that has a company's entire catalog on the site. With Zycon's industry-first Pay-Per-Click offering, product and contract manufacturers, suppliers, and industrial service companies that have normally shied away from paid directories due to their upfront cost now have a means to economically and effectively find new customers.
"Companies always appreciate a great value," Bargman added. "With the addition of our PPC program, Zycon is offering possibly the best advertising value in the industry."
