Mercent Joins Retail Thought-Leaders at 102nd Annual National Retail Federation Convention & Expo in NYC; Company Hosting Executive Retail Forum During Retail 'Big Show'
SEATTLE, WA -- January 8, 2013 -- NRF 2013 - Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York City -- Mercent, a leading technology company that enables retailers to profitably reach and convert more shoppers online, announced today its attendance at the 2013 National Retail Federation (NRF) 'Big Show' and 102nd Annual Convention & EXPO held January 13-16th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, NY.
NRF's Annual Convention & EXPO was nicknamed "Retail's BIG Show" many years ago and because the name was so appropriate, it stuck. Today, Retail's BIG Show is NRF's flagship industry event held annually in New York City. The four day event offers unparalleled education, collegial networking, and an enormous EXPO Hall full of technologies and solutions.
Mercent joins more than 25,000 professionals during this 3-day industry event and is scheduled to meet with retail clients and prospects, industry and strategic partners, and media and analysts. Mercent's Chairman and CEO Eric Best will provide fourth quarter 2012 eCommerce sales data and insights; expert perspective and strategic recommendations to help merchants grow their eCommerce sales and profits across key online channels supported by the Mercent Retail platform; and winning tactics to leverage growth channels that include Amazon.com and the new Google Shopping platform.
"The NRF 'Big Show' is a highly attended and leading event for the retail industry at large," commented Best. "Mercent is pleased to enter 2013 with our largest portfolio of enterprise retail clients and look forward to a week's worth of private meetings and events where we can gain valuable insights and feedback from merchants, and in exchange, share in-house expertise to guide them to a successful and profitable New Year."
Complementing its attendance at the NRF "Big Show," Mercent is hosting a private Retail Executive Forum led by an expert leadership panel featuring Google's head of Google Shopping Jon Venverloh, Citi Investment Research's lead Retail Analyst Deborah Weinswig and Redcats' VP of eCommerce Yann Tanini. The panel will lead a dynamic dialogue covering 2013 market opportunities and strategies merchants should leverage to drive positive bottom line returns in the New Year. The event will be held on Tuesday, January 15th, at Le Bernardin in the Les Salons Bernardin private dining room. Retail executives interested in open seating availability should contact kristines@mercent.com or call 206.310.5323.
Following its private Retail Forum beginning at 9:00 pm ET, Mercent is hosting an open 'after-party' event with co-hosts Google and Netmining at 48 Lounge in Midtown Manhattan. The event will feature an open bar, gourmet hors d'oeurves and music by New York's top DJ Tom Macari. Attendees must RSVP HERE, email kristines@mercent.com or phone 206.310.5323.
