PORTLAND, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 01/08/13 -- Janrain, the leading provider of user management solutions for the social web, today reported that for the first time in eight consecutive quarters, the percentage of consumers logging into all websites using the Janrain User Management Platform (JUMP) with their Facebook identity decreased from the previous quarter in Q4 2012. Meantime, Google's share of social logins increased more than 5%.

Q4 Social Login Highlights:

• Facebook maintains its leadership position, but no longer accounts for more than 50% of logins, dropping in popularity from 54% to 49%.
• Google's share increases from 25% to 31%.
• On some B2B sites, as much as 80% of logins were accomplished using a LinkedIn identity.
• Report includes updated trends for most popular social login providers per top vertical segments including retail, entertainment and gaming, music and consumer brands.
