We all know that size matters. But when it comes to our phones, how big is too big? Samsung’s Galaxy Note series has changed our idea of what phone’s screen can be. The first Note had a 5.3 inch screen, and its successor has one that’s 5.55 inches. While these are massive phones, it seems we’re only getting started. Over the past few weeks, the rumor mill has tossed about the idea of even bigger screens. Chinese company Huawei is rumored to be working on a phone with a 6.1 inch screen, set for release next year. But that’s nothing compared to the rumored Galaxy Note III, which will boast a ridiculous 6.3 inch screen. We’re reaching the point where we’re within three-quarters of an inch of some of the market’s most popular tablets. At what point will Amazon tack on phone capabilities to its Kindle Fire, or Google do it to the Nexus 7? And does anyone really need a phone that big?
