MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- (Marketwire) -- 12/21/12 -- DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCQB: DGTW) announced today that private registration of its webmail platform TrustedWebmail will begin December 28th, 2012. People and organizations may continue to preregister at www.trustedwebmail.com till 12/26/2012 to be part of the private registration launch.
Unlike Google's Gmail, in which its private/invitation-only signup lasted almost 3 years, TrustedWebmail will be available to the general public 7 to 30 days following the private signup. Gmail was also in a beta format from April 1, 2004 till July 7, 2009. TrustedWebmail is launching in two parts, its webmail platform and its administration platform. Only its administration platform is launching in beta format.
Developed over 6 years by a total of 5 companies, TrustedWebmail will be unique with its administrative rights at the highest level which will make TrustedWebmail the most cost effective email service by a wide margin for professionals, schools, and parents. Pricing is set at $5 per user per year with no embedded advertizing and available multiple email 10 packs.
TrustedWebmail provides email addresses in seven broad categories: School Spirit, Education, Sports, Mascots, Professional/ Business, City/State and Status. With over 25,500 domains to choose from, TrustedWebmail will be in a category of its own. Webmail competitors like mail.com have 200 plus domains in comparison.
DigitalTown's 20,000 plus school spirit websites will be able to each offer its own unique email address to its schools, coaches, students and parents for a safe, clean advertizing free email platform.
