SD1388 Interceptor: One of the world’s fastest production boats


Did you know that France Helices’ SDS provides the propulsion system on one of the fastest production boats in the world? The SD1388 built by Shenzhen Hispeed Boats in China is equipped with the France Helices SDS, providing a top speed of 70 knots.

Vessels this fast are typically built to satisfy a specific mission: Interception of threats, typically anti-terror or anti-piracy. This vessel, quite simply, was designed to provide a threat response as quickly as possible. It is the combination of hull design and propulsion design that gives this vessel its’ exceptional performance.

The FRANCE HELICES workshops are equipped with modern foundries capable of casting propellers up to 3.5 tons in NiBrAl. They are also equipped with CNC milling machines and CNC lathe machines.
