How many websites do you go to in the morning to catch up on the day’s news? Five? Ten? More? What if I told you there was a way to get all your day’s news in one location? By using an RSS reader, like Google Reader, you’re able to consolidate all your news feeds onto one easy-to-manage site. Nearly every major website – from news to sports, technology to politics and more – has an RSS feed built into their code. Browsers like Firefox and Chrome have RSS extensions that you can install onto your menu bar that automatically find that site’s RSS feed and make subscribing to RSS feeds as easy as possible. Once you pick which RSS reader you like most, start populating it with your favorite sites! Many RSS readers will also help you discover new sites, based on what you subscribe to. Having one centralized source for the news you care about means less clicking around and more time to be productive.
