Blackboard Mobile Apps erreichen 4,5 Millionen Downloads

WASHINGTON, 27. November 2012 /PRNewswire/-- Blackboard's urtümliche mobile Anwendungen für das Lernen und Leben auf dem Campus, wurde mehr als 4,5 Millionen Mal heruntergeladen, teilte das Unternehmen heute mit. Der Meilenstein verschließt eine hohe Nutzungszeit von Blackboard Mobile™ Apps während des Schuljahres und markiert einen stetigen Anstieg der Einrichtungszahlen, die die Nutzung der Apps als Teil ihrer mobilen Strategien anbieten.

In den ersten beiden Monaten des Herbstsemesters 2012, wurde Blackboard Mobile™ Learn durchschnittlich allein 7.000 Mal pro Tag, von Schülern, die sich über 70 Millionen Mal eingeloggt haben, heruntergeladen. Blackboard Mobile™ Central verhalf Studenten, Alumni und Anderen, die Collegesport Saison und andere Nachrichten mit über 10 Millionen Nutzerkontrollen von Spielständen, Artikeln und Zeitplänen zu verfolgen.

Für jede Institution mit einer Schutzmarke versehen, ist Blackboard Mobile Central eine LMS-agnostische Folge von Applikationen innerhalb eines einzigen mobilen Apps, das die Vorlesungsverzeichnisse, Veranstaltungskalender, Universitätsnachrichten, Sportzeitpläne, Verzeichnisse, interaktive Karten und individuelle Campustouren beinhaltet. Die Zahl der Institutionen mit einem aktiven Blackboard Mobile Central App, zum Zweck für den Einsatz für Marketing, Anwerbung und Leben auf dem Campus, hat sich seit 2011 verdoppelt. Einige Institutionen haben ihre Apps in weniger als drei Monaten entwickelt und gestartet.

Blackboard Mobile Learn ermöglicht es den Studenten Dokumente in mehreren Formaten abzurufen, Mitteilungen aufzugeben, Diskussionsgruppenbeiträge zu erstellen sowie Dateien hochladen und vieles mehr. Seit der Einführung des Downloads der persönlichen Lizenz am Jahresanfang, haben mehr als 120.000 Studenten und Dozenten Blackboard Mobile Learn direkt beim App Store oder Google Play, gekauft.

Diese Ankündigung wurde auf der Online Educa Berlin gemacht, wo Kayvon Beykpour während des mobilen Lunch Seminars darüber sprechen wird, wie Blackboard Institutionen helfen wird, mobile Technologie wirksam einzusetzen.

Anfang dieses Jahres wurde Blackboard Mobile Learn der Gütesiegel der Society of Pedagogy and Information (GPI)'s Comenius EduMedia verliehen und mit der Comenius-EduMedia-Medaille in der Kategorie "Educational Management Systems" ausgezeichnet. Das Produkt erhielt auch zusammen mit der Ruhr-Universität Bochum eine 2013 eLearning Auszeichnung.
