Thrive In Ohio Ad Campaign Celebrates Successes Of Ohioans And Businesses

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ohio is emerging as one of the top states for job growth in the U.S., currently ranked 4th in the nation. Building off this success, JobsOhio is launching a multifaceted advertising campaign designed to help spread the news about people and businesses thriving in Ohio and encourage others to come join in their success.

Driven by the tagline "Live. Work. Thrive.," the Thrive in Ohio campaign launches Sunday and runs through early December, reaching audiences statewide, across the Midwest, and nationally through a mix of television, print and online advertising. An important element of the campaign includes ThriveInOhio.com, a website where Ohioans and business owners are encouraged to share their stories about how they are thriving in Ohio.

"Great things are happening all across the state. Optimism is high, people are getting back to work, and businesses are growing," said John Minor, JobsOhio President and Chief Investment Officer. "This campaign celebrates the passion and innovation of Ohioans in their daily lives, at home and at work, which is a key advantage for companies expanding or relocating here. Ohio is the place to be and our success is proving it."

The campaign features a 30-second television ad produced in Ohio that will run for three weeks on most major networks around the state. A short preview of the television ad is available now on YouTube. The full spot will debut this Sunday on stations across Ohio.

Print ads also begin on November 18 and run in seven major Ohio newspapers as well as the Chicago Tribune, Detroit Free Press, Indianapolis Star, and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; a Wall Street Journal print ad will appear on Nov. 19. Online ads will run on Forbes.com, Fortune/CNNMoney.com, WSJ.com, and other business websites, as well as Google, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Mark Kvamme, former JobsOhio President and Interim Chief Investment Officer, provided the creative vision for developing this advertising campaign celebrating the personal and business successes happening across Ohio as a message for promoting economic development.
