NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hisense today announced that two of its televisions have been named International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honorees - the Ultra High Definition (4K UHDTV, 2160p) 65-inch 65XT880, and the 55-inch XT780 with Google TV.
The Hisense XT880 series of 50", 58" and 65" UHD televisions offers four times the picture resolution of 1080p High Definition televisions, enabling stunning picture quality and beautifully realistic, natural motion. In addition to standard 3D and Smart TV capabilities, the WiFi enabled XT880 supports live TV, streamed content, browsing and search, social networking, games and apps, and features a detachable camera for gesture control.
The Hisense 55-inch XT780 with Google TV expands upon Hisense's depth of experience with Google TV, allowing consumers to enjoy a new level of intuitive content discovery and viewing recommendations in addition to easy navigation to integrated services that include Netflix, Facebook, Pandora, YouTube and more. The XT780 series brings Google Play, web search, e-mail, shopping, news and online videos to users' fingertips.
Innovations entries are judged using the following criteria:
- Engineering qualities
- Aesthetic and design qualities
- The product's intended use/function and user value
- Unique/novel features that consumers would find attractive
