The premium networking event for the North American 4G LTE community, LTE North America, is experiencing record pre-show visitor registrations and exhibitor figures, hitting close to 900, as the industry, its leaders and influencers turn their attention towards the opening day on 14 November.
Based in the Fairmont Dallas Hotel, Dallas, Texas, LTE North America brings together industry leaders for an unparalleled breadth of discussion focusing on the future of mobile broadband. Witnessing a staggering 77 per cent attendee growth over past two years alone, and with an impressive speaker line-up, that includes Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Clearwire, US Cellular, News360, Truphone, Google and MetroPCS, the event plays a central role for many regional carriers and promises to be the best yet.
Event speaker, James Tagg, CTO at Truphone, comments on the importance of the event: “We want to continue to share our story, strengthen ties with our friends in the industry, develop new relationships, and work to develop a track record as a valued contributor to this emerging ecosystem...maybe we’ll catch up with some old friends while we’re here.”
The opening day (14 November) will also play host to the Telecoms.com LTE North America Awards, which are now in their third year and celebrate the triumphs and innovations of North America’s LTE marketplace. The awards ensure global and industry-respected recognition for those who are shortlisted, including CellMax Technologies, Openet, Novatel Wireless, RAD Data Communications and Tekelec.
Two brand new categories were introduced this year; ‘Best Backhauling Solution’ and ‘Most Innovative LTE Application/Service’, to reflect the movements made in the LTE industry. Sam Oakley, Events Manager of the LTE World Series said: “The past year has seen an influx of LTE network deployments in the North American region, placing it at the forefront of the LTE mobile revolution. As such we’ve introduced these new categories to reflect the rapidly evolving marketplace.”
F5 Traffix is on the awards shortlist, with the company’s Director of Product Marketing, commenting: “F5 is honored to have its Traffix Signaling Delivery Controller™ among the finalists of the Best LTE Core Network Product at the LTE North America Awards Event. Informa has been in the forefront in our industry with its LTE Series and spotlight on Diameter signaling, serving as a pioneering leader similar to the F5 Traffix role in supporting operators to rollout reliable, top performing LTE networks.”
Arya Barirani, Vice President of Product Marketing at Infoblox, also shortlisted says: "Mobile networks are under increasing pressure due to complexity and bandwidth-hungry smartphone users consuming increasing amounts of multi-media and social content. Infoblox's service provider network control solutions are tackling this challenge by enabling mobile operators to simplify and secure their infrastructure, enhance the customer experience and deploy LTE more smoothly. We are pleased to have our product excellence validated by the ‘Best Core LTE Network Product’ award and appreciate the recognition."
