NEWPORT BEACH, California, November 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
On the 10th to the 12th of December 2012, GDS International will host its fifth Human Resources US summit at The Island Hotel, Newport Beach, in California. The event, which takes place over two-and-a-half-days, will see 70 of the region's most well respected, C-level executives tackle the most pressing issues faced by organizations in the sector today. (HR US5)
GDS International summits provide the forward-thinking executive with a client-focused platform from which to assess emerging trends and strategies that are proving critical to organizational effectiveness in 2012. Delegates in attendance will be given the opportunity to engage in highly interactive workshops and focused panel discussions offering moderated, peer-led discussions, whilst one-to-one meetings give delegates the chance to meet with business analysts and solution providers to discuss strategy and technology demands in a rapidly evolving business climate.
In attendance at this year's summit will be: John McDevitt, SVP HR & CHRO for United Parcel Services; Laura Miller, CHRO for Coca Cola Refreshments; Laurie Ledford, CHRO for Marsh & McLennan Companies; Sean Kane, SVP HR for Heineken America; Marian Wilson, EVP HR for Bank of America; and Karen May, VP People for Google. There will also be a range of big-name sponsors attending the summit, including: Korn/Ferry International, People Answers, Advantage Xpo, GloboForce and BenefitFocus.
The upcoming summit will focus on common pain points faced by industry-leading HR executives in the United States. Taking center stage for discussion at this year's summit will be: talent management, leadership development, benefit administration, recruitment and corporate incentives.
Benedetto Miele, VP Sales & Services, North America, was an attendee at last year's summit. He said: "The event has been great, and the quality of delegates has been excellent. In addition, the intimacy of the group really gave you the chance to have a conversation with the delegates and therefore be able to engage them on a different level than just a typical sales process."
Mitchell Touart, SVP North America Sales for PageUp People, was another attendee at last year's event. He found real ROI in the two-and-a-half day summit, saying: " I thought it was terrific. It actually far exceeded our expectations, which were high to begin with." He continues, "Our sales pipeline is going to explode! We are definitely going to accelerate with a lot of momentum going into the final quarter of the year, and on into the next year. We have already signed the agreement today to come back in May, and we signed up for Europe and Asia as well."
Marisa "Caryn" Roth, Human Resources US 5 Summit Director for GDS International, the global events company behind the event, says: "The HR summit brings together 70 C-Level HR Executives for a two-and-a-half-day day think tank forum where we assemble the best possible platform of leaders to debate, benchmark, and learn from one another through expert workshops, themed roundtable discussions, and peer-to-peer networking sessions."
