Offline HTML 5 Applikation


Als Proof of Concept haben wir eine HTML 5 Applikation entwickelt, die sowohl Online wie auch Offline betrieben werden kann. Bedingung ist ein moderner Browser wie z.B. Google Chrome, Firefox oder Safari (auch auf iPhone oder iPad).
Die Applikation benutzt zwei WebServices von GlobalWeather. Die verwendeten Icons sind von http://www.icons-land.com.


Hier eine kurze Programmbeschreibung:
  1. Über "Add Country" wird ein Land hinzugefügt (in Englisch). Der WebService "GetCitiesByCountry" lädt alle Städte des Landes und speichert sie in der lokalen SQLite Datenbank des Browsers ab.
  2. In "Select Country" kann ein hinzugefügtes Land ausgewählt werden und die Städte des Landes werden dargestellt.
  3. Durch Klicken auf ein Land wird über den WebService "GetWeather" das Wetter geladen, gespeichert und dargestellt.
  4. Durch Wechseln auf "Month" wird ein Monatskalender der gewählten Stadt mit der Minimal- und Maximaltemperatur pro Tag gezeigt.
Offline, nachdem die Applikation mindestens einmal Online ausgeführt wurde, können folgende Tätigkeiten durchgeführt werden:
  • Starten der Applikation (die HTML Seiten und Resourcen werden vom Browser gecached).
  • Auswahl der Landes.
  • Darstellen der gespeicherten Wetterwerte in der Monatsansicht.
