Mobolize Beta Now Open to Public for a Limited Time, Offline Sharepoint Seamlessly From Your Browser

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/01/09 -- Mobophiles, a company that wants to give you a Web you can count on, today publicly opened a limited beta program for its highly anticipated Mobolize solution, which provides both continuous access to your Sharepoint site when you're offline and accelerated access when you're online, all seamlessly from your browser. With business critical applications and data moving onto Sharepoint, Mobolize ensures that remote and mobile Sharepoint users can always be productive, regardless of where they are.

By working completely seamlessly from within Internet Explorer on your Windows laptop, the Mobolize solution provides a user experience that is identical to having a super-fast and always-on connection directly to your Sharepoint site, even if the user is at a remote branch office or on a plane. Mobolize is based on advanced virtualization and caching technology that works with ANY web application, so it is the first offline solution ever developed that supports existing web sites without any changes to the web application. For example, you can even get offline access to Google Maps and NYTimes.com simply by installing the Mobolize software client.

For Sharepoint, this means that Mobolize is the only offline solution that can provide access to the actual Sharepoint web pages, such as web parts, wiki pages, calendars, and team discussions. In addition to seamless access from the browser, Mobolize also provides seamless access from Microsoft Office applications to files stored on Sharepoint, enabling offline and virtually instant file retrievals.

"The typical reaction when people first see Mobolize in action is disbelief, since they have never been able to use their browser before without internet connectivity," said William Chow, co-founder of Mobophiles. "Once they see that they can get to any of their Sharepoint pages even while offline and they can open huge Office documents in seconds even while remote, the productivity benefits are immediately obvious."

The public beta release can be downloaded by going to: http://www.mobolize.com. Participation in this initial public beta will be limited to the first 1000 users that sign up. Mobolize has previously been in private beta testing since July 2009, including at several enterprise Sharepoint sites, and was recently honored as a Twiistup 2009 Showoff. By participating in the beta program, users will receive a free license for Mobolize, a potential value of over $100 (final pricing will be announced when the product is launched this fall).

Notable features of Mobolize:

-- Seamless offline access from IE to virtually any web site
-- Enhanced offline access to Sharepoint, including from MS Office
-- Accelerated access to slow/remote sites and large files
-- Automatic and manual sync
-- Browser toolbar to easily enable and sync web content
-- Control panel for customizing acceleration and offline behavior

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. The constant pressure to provide complete, omnichannel delivery of customer-facing solutions to meet both regulatory and customer demands is putting enormous pressure on...
IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...

To Really Work for Enterprises, MultiCloud Adoption Requires Far Better and Inclusive Cloud Monitoring and Cost Management … But How? Overwhelmingly, even as enterprises have adopted cloud computing and are expanding to multi-cloud computing, IT leaders remain concerned about how to monitor, manage and control costs across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
